Hi, I download Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 2008 Express Edition SP1 a few months ago for a college programming class, and it worked great. Recently, I had to do a recovery on my computer because of some serious problems, including viruses. I still had all of the files associated with Visual Studio, but it said it needed reinstalled, and I could not run the application. I redownloaded it, which worked fine, but the installation keeps freezing on the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 component, which is the second one. I have tried deleting associated files and redownloading and reinstalling, and it has the exact same error every time (I tried it nine times). Can anyone please offer any advice as to what I need to do? I need the program for two of my classes, and if I don't get it working soon, I may fail them both. The error message is as follows:

Quick update:

I tried downloading and installing the Professional Edition to see if there was any difference, but it came up with the exact same error during the installation for .NET Framework 3.5.

Can someone PLEASE give at least some suggestions? I need this for school and no one on any site has given me any help.
