Hi to You all, I will appreciate your help for recommendations on a new Computer that I am going to buy. The configuration includes monitor and I want to be an Intel based. Also, I want to be upgreadable within 2-3 years and not to worry for 5 years.

So, which components do you recommend?

I am waiting for your input, thanks!

Are you going to be gaming? Oc'ing? How big of a monitor do you want?

Here's a basic system, assuming you're doing both.

CPU: Xeon 3060 - $235.50
ram: G. Skilll 2gb - $110
mobo: Asus P5K Deluxe or Gigabyte DS3R - ~$200
GPU: Evga 8800gts - $300
PSU: Corsair 620HX - $170
HDD: 320gb Seagate Barracuda - $80
optical drive:NEC 7170A - $33
monitor: HP W2207 - $380

Total: ~$1300

Pick a case, and whatever OS you're going to be using. I would get a 64bit flavor of Vista.

If you want to spend the remaining $500, you could upgrade the graphics card to an 8800gtx, get 2 HDDs instead of one, and 2 sets of that ram.

mobo: evga nForce 680i - $250
cpu: c2d E6600 - $220
gpu: 8800gts 320MB - $250
hdd: seagate barracuda 320gb - $80
ram: crucial ballistix tracer 2GB pc2 8500 - $235 - $85 MIR = $150 AR
monitor: samsung 22" - $350
case: antec p180 - $130
psu: ocz gamexstream 700w - $130 - $30 MIR = $100 AR

Grand total is $1645 before rebates for a solid build that will last for years.

joking.
Good suggestions so far.

As for the 5 year upgrade path: Remember, DDR3 is coming out, and may be mainstream in 2-3 years.

Thank you for your response!

As comptia mentioned about ddr3 should I wait for a while or not, but I believe that ddr3 would be expensive and available maybe next year, i don't know, correct me!

Also I've heard about Intel's P35 chipset and there are already MOBO's with P35 implemented on the market. Should I wait for those MB's? Remember I am in Macedonia so, things are coming here with a delay and the price on newegg in $ is equal to price in eur +10%.

For example: $100=100 euros + 10 euros=110 euros for the same electronic device.

The system would not be overclocked, Monitor from 19"-22" with minimum response time and as highest contrast as possible. Graphic card with DDR3 and directx10 compatible.

Thank you, once again!

The P5K and DS3R are both P35 based boards. Unless you NEED to build this thing soon, you should wait for them to come to your area.

Since you're not oc'ing, instead of the Xeon 3060 get an E6600, and any 2gb set of ram will do, as long as it's 533mhz or faster.

Other then that I stand by my build, unless something is unavailable to you. Going by your +10 rule, you still have a couple hundred for the case and os.

I think that I'll wait for a while when P5K3 Deluxe/WiFi-AP from ASUS comes available. Also I'll stick to the E6600 CPU and 2 GB's of RAM.
