the sims 2 command buttons vanish to fast for me to give a command i have a dell vostro 1000 laptop i plugged a mouse in and it still didnt work this game is brand new i bought it on friday and it is now sunday? i also had the sims life storys and it did the same thing is there something i need to download im going crazzzzzzyyy please help

Yes... check to see if there are any patches available on EA's website. I'm sure with a game that old, there has to be a patch or two available.
