Running Daggerfall

I actually have a few questions. I have been trying to run Daggerfall on windows vista and have had several problems. I know that you need a DOS emulator or something like that to play such an old game on a new system. I downloaded DOSBox, but from what I have been reading, Daggerfall doesn't run well with DOSBox. So my first question is does anybody know of emulators that Daggerfall does run well with? My second question is how do you mount a directory in DOSBox. I have read the intro thing but my I am having trouble comprehending what it is telling me. Thanks in advance.
