Hi,

i have a PPPoE connection which i have connected using Bridge mode. i have created a new connection using dialup networking. whenever i connect to my isp, the dialer gets stuck for a long time at a window saying "registering your computer on the network" after verifing username and password. earlier it used to connect quickly and the window would go away but now it stays there for a long time but i can surf the internet while its there. although its not a big deal it tends to get on my nerve.

i figured there must be a way to make it go away cause it used to earlier.

any help is appreciated.

Hey,
looked up on the net, found this:

Network and sharing centre -> manage network connections, right click connection, properties, network tab, uncheck everything except for TCP/IP v4.

issue is resolved. case closed. thanks anyways.
