Dll cache folder

Hi everyone. When attempting to delete browsing history, for example, I get a nonresponsive "Run dll as an app" message. Within the error report is this: C:\DOCUME~1\Cheryl\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERE6350.dir00\rundll32.exe.mdmp and C:\DOCUME~1\Cheryl\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERE6350.dir00\appcompat.txt. There are other instance of rundll32 hangs but I can't think of them rightnow. Can anyone tell me how to rememdy this?? I've been online all day looking and can't find anything! Thanks so much!! If you haven't already done it, run an up to date spyware and virus scan (make sure it's a full scan not a quick scan); this is quite a common problem when someone has picked-up something nasty.
