OS selection screen misshaps; How to remove Vista selection screen?

My computer used to have a dual boot of XP & Vista on a single hard drive with 2 partitions. I deleted Vista Partition - and from a "Ghost image backup" i installed ONLY windows XP on a single partition.

My problem now is; when the computer boots, It now stops on the "OS selection screen" for 20 seconds asking;

Microsoft Windows Vista
Earlier version of Microsoft windows ( xp )

Since Vista is not even on the hard drive how can i make this selection screen go away and default to Windows XP all the time?
