I bought a set of Bose Companion 5 speakers to play with a brand new HP Pavilion dv5 laptop and they don't work. I plug them into the old desktop and they work perfectly. I contacted both Bose and HP and after spending several days on the phone and on line trying to sort it out both Bose and HP say their equipment is working correctly. Bose say it is a problem with Vista and it does work with XP perfectly. HP say it is a problem with the Bose driver. Bose say their driver is fine and so we go on and on. Can any one help me out here??
