Vista Freezing Issue with File Transfers

So, I just built this PC, it's been working fine for about 2 weeks, and now I am having some issues. I know a good amount about computers. It has an i7 950 processor, 12 gigs of ram, raid 5 array, and so forth on VIsta Ultimate 64 bit. Everything used to work fine, but now, Vista will randomly freeze.

It only happens on file transfers of any kind. For example, I have a NAS on my home network, when trying to copy a file of 1.5 gigs off of the NAS, the computer freezes. Whenever, I try to download something off of newsgroups, it also freezes, so it's not just off of the NAS.

However, when I boot vista 64 into safe mode with networking, it works perfectly. For some reason, the system restore is from two days ago, so I can't restore it to an earlier configuration.

Any suggestions on things to check, uninstall, etc. to try to figure out what is causing this issue?

I'm thinking video card driver. Well that is usually the most problematic. Need more information on your rig though.
