Start up hang

my com is windows vista home basic SP1
and it sometimes hang at the loading screen (where u see the bar going round and round)
and it can only start back if i restart and clicked use last configuration
but that also sometimes wont work

Intel E4700 2.6 Ghz
3 Gb memory
geforce 9300
