i have bought 1gb of ddr2 @800mhz kingmax. i have already had 512mb @800mhz also kingmax. but my motherboard won't cooperate with both of them installed. i have an msi k9vgm mobo with 2 memory banks in dual channel. in the manual says that it supports up to 2gb. separately both of them seem to work fine. i tried to switch the modules places but i had two results: or my pc starts and it beeps repeatingly (endless loop), no booting. i've searched for the beep code amd got this

http://www.amptron.com/html/bios.beepcodes.html

and the other thing that does when i start up my pc: the fans are spinning, the hdd turns on, etc, but i don't see anything on the monitor, it remains off. no booting either.

the rams are:
kingmax 512mb @800mhz KLDC28F-A8KB5
kingmax 1024mb @800mhz KLDD48F-A8KB5

any ideas?
thanks

ps: sorry for my bad english

It sounds like your motherboard is having trouble not running in dual channel. You will lose performance running in single channel. Best bet is getting another matching 521mb stick and running 2gb's.

Sell the 512 buy another 1GB stick problem solved. Sound's like the motherboard won't run single channel with two stick's installed. You have to get either another 512 or 1GB stick and run two the same. Check the manual.
