Won't play dvd's

I have a hp laptop and it won't play my dvd's. I used to watch dvd's on it all the time but, now won't play. My laptop will play cd's and burn just fine but, won't play my dvd's. Can you please help with what is wrong with my laptop. Thanks!

First try a few different DVD's to rule out a disc problem. If that doesn't work, it's likely a failed drive.
