I can't seem to install 32 bit no matter what I do. I have a Dell XPS 410 which I have heard has a very stubborn BIOS (which I have updated to the latest version) if this is of any help. Also my discs are in perfect condition so I'm perfectly sure that isn't the problem.

So far I have changed my RAID settings to automatic which I read was the problem to begin with. I tried to install Vista Ultimate 32 bit but it failed with the error code 0x80070017. I tried a few things but none of them worked obviously.

So for no apparent reason at all I tried to install Vista 64 bit which for some reason was successful. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but I am at the mercy of the Linksys Wireless G USB Adapter which I tried several drivers for and couldn't get to work. I couldn't find a 64 bit driver at all.

So my main point is to find out why I can't install the x32 version and find a way to fix that. Any help would be appreciated.

I poked around some, and the general trend says it's a bad burn and that you should be able to fix it by re-burning the .iso to a fresh disc at SLOW speed.

Ok I installed XP and at the moment I'm extracting the ISO from my Vista disc using magic ISO since I didn't download it. Everything is running smoothly so far. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll let you know whether I'm successful or not.
