I have been informed by HP that the scanning function on my HP3050 will not operate on my system (running Windows VISTA on 64-bit machine). Can this possibly be TRUE?

A 64-bit computer has a hardware-imposed limitation; cannot run drivers written for 32-bit operation.

WHAT!!!! LOL LIES it can run 32bit. Its that 32bit CANNOT run 64bit

Well, Vista is known for it's scanning and printing issues, especially with Canon and HP. My friend actually sold his LaserJet 'cause it was useless on Vista :( Sorry...

That applies to applications. Drivers must be 64 bit.
