BF3 and Tribes:Ascend Terrible FPS

Hello All,

I seem to be in a predicament.

I recently upgraded to the following parts:

(None of these overclocked) from a

Intel Core 2 Duo
Geforce GTX 285
4 GB of Corsair RAM
ASUS P5Q-Pro Motherboard.

(non-overclocked)

In Battlefield 3 and in Tribes:Ascend, my FPS with drop to 15-20. Previously, on my other parts, I would hit 45-60 easy on ultra or high graphics. I am wondering what could be going on. Rift and WoW and TF2 and CS:S are working fine with everything max (60+ fps), but it seems im having issues with these shooters. I have checked the power and everything is fine. My PC is staying below the power threshold. I'm wondering if anyone can give me any incite. Maybe a feature I need to have disabled since it works fine on some games but not the other? I have tried to fiddle with shadow settings and all that.

Please help. =(

Thank you,
