not sure where this question should go, but id like to know if for example my screen saver activates after 5 minutes, then i move the mouse a few seconds after, it goes back to the desktop, but i set the screen saver to go to log in screen when it goes to the screensaver, yet it goes back to the desktop without asking for the password. can anyone help me out here? my computer is pretty old and when i get the the screen saver options it says "on display, return to welcome screen" instead of the lock out option
but if the screen saver is up for about 10 seconds it actually does go back to the user screen where i need to reinput my pw
does anyone have a way to fix this?

Are you sure the monitor isn't turning off after 5 and the screen saver is coming on at 10 minutes?


Set the screen saver to turn on after 2 minutes and see if that fixes it. Also, I assume you have a password for your login?
