I've been trying to install Windows XP 32-bit SP3 on my home-build configuration. I've installed windows Vista and Windows 7 before without any issues.
When i boot from the install disc with AHCI enabled, i get a blue screen. Even if i tried to import my AHCI drivers into the install with nLite.
With my SATA controllers in "native IDE mode" i can enter the first part of the installation (formatting and copying files part), but when it restats to enter the "real" windows XP installation, my system hangs at "verifying dmi pool data...". I then tried to enable AHCI yet again, but same blue screen. I've tried changeing the boot priority list as well as booting directly from the HDD by entering the boot menu and selecting my Samsung drive.
I've heard that sometimes having a USB device connected will cause this hang, but ive unplugged every USB device i've got.
