no video w new 8800gts + new p5k system

for some reason i get no video from my 8800gts in my new p5k setup. the 8800 still works fine in my old mb, and my 6600 works fine in the new mb...

the p5k w/8800 installed seems to be going through the normal boot process - theres hd activity and capslock turns on and off so it seems like everything is working except theres no signal to my monitor.

the only thing i can think of is maybe its a lack of power due to the higher demands of the new cpu - but wouldnt it just fail to boot or lock up if that was the case?

any suggestions would be appreciated.


my system:

ASUS P5K
core2duo e6420
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM
leadtek 8800gts 320mb
80gb raptor
antec neopower 480w psu
dell 2407wfp

i've tried the following with no luck:

-both dvi connectors on the card
-both pci-e 16x slots on the mb
-unplugging all my drives

and i've triple-checked that the card is seated properly, the 6-pin pci-e power connector is connected, etc.

well i picked up an ocz gamextstream 700w... problem solved :/ guess the antec was bad or something.
