Java causes immediate shutdown

When I access anything Java related such as the photo uploader on FaceBook or even the Java icon on my XP machine, my computer instantly shuts down. It's like I yanked the power cord out. Just boom power off.

Java is uninstallable. I have never had a single problem with a JAVA installation. Try uninstalling the program from Control Panel, ADD/Remove then reinstalling the latest release from Java.com. Maybe reinstall any Facebook software also. Be sure to downlaod and install all M$ OS updates. Start>Windows update.

Java is exploitable also. It may have been compromised.

Take badges advice, uninstall, download the stand-alone package and save to your desktop. Reboot and reinstall.
