The mouse freezes or stops for about 1 min or less most of the times.This can happen any where or especially if I'm going over and Icon or something that I can take some kind of action . The problem also exits in SAFE MODE.I run ZA and have tried different Malware programs but get no hits. I have tried two different mouses,one corded the other wireless. They both work on another computer . A few times I had to just shut the computer down because the mouse just wouldn't move. Another problem that has come up is the computer won't shut down sometimes. Any help welcome.

Check you don't have more than one anti-virus tool installed, the most common cause of things like this is conflicting security tools.

Only have one anti-virus installed ZA.The only firewall turned on is ZA.Have tried to turn off ZA but still have the problem.

did u try mouse settings in control panel

which mouse ur using ps/2 or USB

Yes I did. In the mean time I might of stumbled on to the problem. I was also having a problem with my speakers.They create a hissing when computer is loading then the hissing goes away.I unplugged the speakers (ALTEC LANSING ACS 45.2 speakers(two )) . The problem seems to of gone away. Not sure why?
