Well I have two 640GB hard drives in my computer dedicated for storage, separate from my OS hard drive. I only keep data on the first, I'm saving the second for the back up. I want a back up software that lets me choose what folders to back up on the first hard drive, then I want it to copy those folders from the first hard drive, and back them up on the second one automatically at a scheduled time. Does anyone know a software that does this? I know Acronis True Image 9 does this, but it makes a single file that only True Image can read.
Karen's Replicator lets you pick and choose among the folders and schedule the backups. It's free at karenware.com. It recreates the perfectly, not in a proprietary file format. And it uses very few resources.
In fact, at this moment, it's backing up my Thunderbird and Firefox profiles.
