I'm trying to reinstall windows XP on this comp, but unfortunately I get a BSOD...The good news is that I know what I NEED to fix it, the bad news is that I don't know HOW to fix it.
So I am told that my BSOD problem is manifesting because the Windows XP CD I have does not carry SATA drivers on it, so I was told to "simply" slipstream them.
But how do I do that? I've tried 4 times now and have been unsuccessful. I have been using nLite and Nero9 Nero Burning ROM...
Unfortunately, he is not using Nero 9, so I am guessing on some parts of the instructions.
With nLite, I have absolutely no clue on what I am doing... I tried following some instructions I found on the internet, but they are quite ambiguous, as I have yet to successfully do this.
This would all be quite easy if my HD had IDE, but alas, it only has SATA. So can anyone help me and give me as detailed of instructions as they can?
