Today I was downloading CPU-Z to see some stuff. I was using firefox and the firefox downloader froze before it was completely downloaded and was not responding and I couldn't move/minimize it or anything (Only other thing things that were open were ventrilo and windows live messenger). I ctrl+alt+deleted it and ended firefox.exe and it wouldnt end after several minutes. So I decided to forcefuly rebooted the computer by holding down the power button. After it rebooted it wouldn't load XP (got to the screen with the windows logo and the loading bar going across and stayed there for ever) (can not even boot in safemode or last known working configuration). So I decided that I would reformat. Now when I am trying to reformat, I get to the screen after it asks me if i want to repair or continue. I hit enter to continue, and on the top it says: Windows XP Home Edition Setup, and on the bottom it says: "Examining 610478 MB Disk at Id 0 on bus 0 on iaStor..." and I cant get past that. (Also happens when I try to repair.)
I'm thinking that the hard drive is corrupted, but I'm not sure.
