i need to install vista x64 on my new computer, but all i have is x32 basic and a ultimate anytime upgrade with both x32 and x64 disks (non bootable). is their any way i can get x64 on my computer without purchasing a x64 copy of vista...

If your basic is a retail version, you can pay the shipping cost and MS will send you the 64bit disk. Supposed to be about $11.

i dont wana pay anything though, im thinking can i borrow someones x64 copy, then use my 32 bit key on it?

Nobody really wants to pay anything. Just pay the effing $11. They are not charging you for the product, just the shipping.

but i could go download a copy, burn it to disk and use my serial.

You could, but you may get something that you were not expecting as well, your funeral.
Your ultimate anytime upgrade key is not likely to work with a download anyway.
Pay the $11 and be done.
