I have a perfectly good HP OfficeJet Series 600 (printer/scanner/fax/copier) and would like to know if it is worth my while purchasing the adapter to connect it to the Window Vista computer.

I guess it would depend on how much the adapter costs. If it's over $20, I'd go for a new deskjet and sell your officeJet.
