I am under the impression that standby mode is compromising my OS. I only began using standby about a year ago and for the past 6 months or so my system has been less responsive and has even locked up a few times. It is an older system to begin with, but the problem is much worse when resuming from standby... I am mostly just curious if other people have had the same issue with XP Pro`s standby mode. Thanks!

this issue is in an old system of mine. it is a no name psu, which could be the issue... i didn`t think about that aspect. good thought!
