I already own one eVGA 7950GT, and was planning on buying a second one for SLI. But then I saw that for about $130 more, I could get 2 MSI 8600GTS for SLI. I am wondering what would be better.

Your 7950 should work just fine unless you have or want vista
and dx10.

But probably better to get an 8800gts or gtx.
Or if you like an x2900 ati card.

sell the 7950 and get a 8800GTX, forget SLI

My return profit would be close to nothing, especially because I payed about 220 for it new.

Also, I don't want to have to spend a lot on my system, I am dumping a dell for a custom PC (not my first one though.) I don't want to have to spend more then 1200$ on the entire build, and I still need 700 in parts, and have spent about 300 so far.

In reply to the comment about Vista, I have the beta, it sucked, so until Vista SP1 comes out, I'm sticking with XP SP2. Also, Vista taxed my system too much, and it was pretty unstable.
