I just purchased a new Western Digital Sata hard drive.. and im trying to install it. I have a MSI k8n Neo mobo... it seems to detect it.. but thats about it.. windows thinks its like a USB drive. im going crazy... please help

If you mean it shows up in Safely Remove Hardware, that's normal, have no idea why. If it's something else, let us know

well it said it cant find my hardware or whatever when it says new hardware.. and it doesnt show up as a drive on "my computer" i cant find it .. :(

Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Storage, Disk Management and see if it's there and has a drive letter assigned. If it's recognized, format it. If not recognized, go into the BIOS and make sure that it is set up to see the SATA drive.
