Hi, I was wondering why there's no "hibernate mode" on my windows vista desktop. I use the hibernate feature alot on my notebook and rarely shutdown my notebook down at all since i just keep hibernating it everyday and night. How come windows vista desktops dont have this "hibernate" feature? it it bad for desktops to hibernate or something?

Some motherboards do not support hybernate. If vista deos not offer you that, then it's most likely.

Try WinKey+R, & in the Run window type
powercfg /hibernate on
if no effect, try using sleep mode. It's better in my view, IF cooles stops working.
