Does this mean that the card is near its end?

I have this 7950GT here that would only work under the generic video card driver. If I tried to install the up to date 94.24 forceware driver, the computer crashes.

I was able to install the driver in safe mode but when I restarted in normal mode (instead of safe mode) the display would turn off and the computer would stay on.
So as of now, I have removed the nvidia driver and it would load into the desktop. Also, there are these streaks of white that would cover the screen when the computer starts up..... and when it is loading windows.

The computer Specs are:
E6300 currently @ stock
Corsair Ram currenty w/ 1 X 512MB
Antec Smart Power 500 W PSU
Raptor 36GB
3 Seagate HDDS
EVGA 7950GT 512MB

Also, the card isn't OC'ed or volt modded and it has a Zalman VF-900 HSF on it.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks guys.

Might try those. I have been using them since they were released. My 7900GTX is still running quite nicely.

I'm not sure about those 94 series drivers... they were released May 31 and I haven't tried them yet.

I have the same card, I have used the 93.xx series drivers since I got my card and they have worked fine. I don't know the exact version, but I know that I was the latest on nVidia's site.
