Play analog and SPIDIF audio at the same time?

System: Asus P6T Deluxe V2, no sound card. Windows Vista Home Premium x64

How can I get the optical digital out (SPIDIF) and the analog audio outs to play all at the same time?

I need to run the optical/digital line to my preamp for media center/media player audio, and use the analog outs to provide audio for my powered speakers at my work station. Only one audio source at a time - in other words - I don't need music from the SPIDIF line and game audio from the analog. Just the same audio over both outs.

Asus support has yet to answer this question, and Microsoft? Wow - no one gets in to see the wizard!
