Hey guys.. So i've had an older Dell for a number of years, with an fx 5200, and as you might imagine, it just isn't cutting it for me anymore..
I'm not a hardcore gamer, I do it when I have time, but I do like to install the newer games and I am looking for a computer that will last me for another year or two. I will probably be playing alot of games that I missed out on due to my fx 5200 so i don't expect this new build to run crysis with screaming graphics or anything.
I do read up alot on different computer parts, and I've made a build on NCIX and refined it a few times, and this is my final build. So, I was hopingto submit it here and see if you guys had any recommendations concerning it. Whether I should change one part to another to get better performance or simply if there is a better deal out there (I do live in Canada, so I can't use Newegg). Thanks guys!

Everything looks good. The only thing I would change is Vista rather than XP. Just as I wouldn't advise anyone who currently has XP that there really is any reason to upgrade right now I would tell anyone that is building a new system to get Vista instead. MS will stop supporting XP at the end of the year and like it or not Vista will be the new standard. Get Home Premium, which if you get the system builders pack is about $100. JM2C.

i wouold personnaly reccomend Vista to a new build thpo as there is little point in buying alicense of rxp only to replace it in the future

Go with Logain on that one - If you want to play new games, by all means go ahead and get VIsta for compatibity (Halo 2 is only vista cap)

But if you're going to go with the good old games (not really old), get XP.
