Ive been trying to use this wizard to get some files off my old pc(both pc are using XP) but when it comes time for them to connect to each other they never do. I think my problem is that i have been trying to use a standard eathernet cable between the two PCs. Is it possible to use a eathernet network cable(crossover cable) or should i be using a serial cable.

Thanks

Did you run New Network Connection Wizard? Have never tried it but one option is to connect 2 computers using a serial cable.

You must effectively use a crossover cable to connect 2 PCs directly.
