Hey, I bought a new PC for about 2 weeks ago.

I can't find my DVD drive. It doesn't appear in My Computer but only in devise manager. I can see that there's something wrong about the driver but can't updated it. It says that the driver has already been updated.
I have tried to remove the driver but can't find a new to install and can't use the recoery cds.

The driver is: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH40F
OS: Vista 64 bit

Thanks...

Windows says that the problem is that 'Windows can't read the driver software' (Code 39) :s

This sucks... :(

You can uninstall it from the device manager, restart, and then let it auto install the drivers.

or

Go to the manufacturers website to download the drivers yourself.

or

use the system restore, to restore to when it was working.
