I aldready have 2 GB's of ram but I am looking for really good RAM and I am not sure if it will work on my machine, the machine has only been upgraded once to a new graphics card(8800 GTS 640). Help would be much appreciated.

Possibly:
Mushkin HP2-5300 DDR2-667 2x1GB High Performance Series CAS4-4-4-10 (996521)

or

OCZ (OCZ26672048ELGEGXT-K) DDR2 PC2-5400 667MHz EL Gold Edition 2GB (2X1024MB) Dual Channel Kit

Please try to choose it from this list:

Quote from HPs website for m7750n:

Memory Four 240-pin DDR2 DIMM sockets
Supports PC 4200 (533 MHz) and PC2 5300 (667 MHz) DDR2 DIMMs
non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
Maximum HP/Compaq approved memory is 4 GB*

NOTE: *Actual available memory may be less

Unfortunately, you heard wrongly. Faster/lower latency RAM will make essentially no difference to your gaming. You've done the only practical step already by getting a better graphics card -- the 8800.

No, you're pretty much maxed out on that computer. You won't be able to access more than about 3GB of RAM until you get a new MB and 64-bit Windows, anyway, because of the 4GB memory address limit.

There really won't be a percievable difference with your standard memory and the high performance memory. Especially with your HP. Performance memory is best used for overclocking or long memory intensive sessions (LAN parties, photo or video work) But most non-professionals don't get near that point. But its your $$..!!
I second the video card.
