Hey guys,

Please add me to what appears to be a very, very long list of unhappy people using this motherboard! After spending the better part of 2 days building my PC, I have a $300 POS sitting in my case... Here's whats going on...

(1) Got the dreaded CPU INIT issue. This cleared up for no reason and then....

(2) Got DDR Error msg using Crucial Ballistix Tracer memory. Played around with different memory and location of memory and cleared that up. The...

(3) Now have a CMOS error on post. Tried everything to resolve, including calling Asus today (Sunday) and speaking with a tech. No luck, he told me to call back Monday to speak with the BIOS department. I've tried replacing the battery, clearing CMOS, etc with ZERO luck.

My PSU is decent (Coolermaster 1000W) and I've double checked all connections. I'm open to any suggestions, including throwing the whole thing out the window! :)

Any idea what I can try next????

Thanks for listening to my rant...

NOT buy an overpriced ASUS motherboard next time?

But seriously, talk to tech support tomorrow, its probably a known issue with the board, and hopefully they'll help you through fixing it, otherwise RMA and hope that you get a good one this time.

Good luck.
