This computer is locked and is in use

I am using windows xp pro with sp3 on a stand alone desktop not connected to the net, after shuting down properly the next time i turned it on i just get the wallpaper on the desktop and nothing else, if i press ctrl+alt+del i get task manager used this to try changing users, but i get message saying "This computer is in use and is locked, Only JULIE/Martin (julie) or an administrator can unlock this computer" Have tried different user but same problem, can anybody help please.

The computer was not shutdown. It was in Hibernation mode. Log on as Julie and type her password; if you don't know what it is, hold down the power button for long enough for the system to shutdown. When you power up again, the system will let you log in using your login credentials.

A restart will usually wipe out that log in. If you don't remember the password for that user account, you may want to edit that in the control panel.
