i entered the product key which is printed on back of my laptop.but error message appered.the prouct key must be correct i tried many times.what shoul i do?

Are you using the Windows CD that came with your laptop?

The product key has to be for the same version of windows. For example XP pro's key won't work with XP home.

Get a magnifying glass and take a good look at the product key, sometimes an 8 and B can be confused.
