Thats running really hot.

A while back I built one for a friend and clocked it to 3 ghz... Well I think it was 2997 but close enough.
After 12 hours of stress testing it never went above 55.

So yeah, you are running hot. Try a different HS and more fans? Also never underestimate a good thermal compound.

max load as in running orthos and playing games like vanguard....i am in stock cooling mode so perhaps an aftermarket cooler might do the trick...but for the next month or so these temps are to hot or what?

Try 100% TAT load for 1/2 hour. Don't be scared with the results, just get that aftermarket cooler now!

You want the best temps, get a Tuniq Tower 120. The Tuniq Tower 120 has a huge 120mm fan mounted in the middle of the heatsink, this is good cuz it creates a push & pull configuration. You can put any 120mm fan in for even better cooling.

Oh thats your problem then.

It depends how much you use your PC. I wouldn't want those temps though.

I would get an HS and some grease from newegg asap though.

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler and some Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound will lower your temp by quite a bit.

You usually dont want to OC on the stock cooler.

super quick update...temps are 60c MAX usually 57c average on max load...I lowered my vcore to one step above stock vcore...according to cpu-z voltage is 1.280v and everything is stable no crashes after 8 hours of use, no next day crash, nothing....so do I still need an aftermarket cooler? Still go with a highend cooler or just an average 30-40 dollar one should do?

Get the AC Freezer 7 Pro of my sig. Very cheap, quiet and effective. If you get watercooling worth $150 for a $115 cpu, you certainly are going the wrong way!!!

Try lowering your Vcore just a notch more till cpuz reads 1.264. That kept my e4300 quite happy and orthos stable @ 3ghz. Then I upped my OC and.....
