Looking for some advice on a problem I'm having with my Zire 71. I stopped
using it for a month or two cause hotsync wasn't werking and my handheld
lost all it's data. Then I decided to hook it up again recently. First
sync it was fine and it reinstalled all the software and data and asks to
restart. Great! But now it does this EVERY SINGLE TIME I sync it!!! Takes
about 5mins to restore handheld databases and copy everything over. What's
going on? is it the Palm itself or Hotsync or my Palm Desktop. Any help is
appreciated, thanks.

Right-Click on HotSync manager and chose "custom". For every conduit
there are 3 options "handheld overwrites desktop", "desktop overwrites
handheld" and "synchronize". Make all of them "synchronize" and be sure
to check for every one of them the "default" check button.
