I have a new Dell with Vista OS. Really miss my old XP. Discovered Regseeker to clean over 1100 items after repeated sequential runs on this system. After 4 runs, it comes up with 1162 registry items each time. Is that to be expected? The registry seems to be rewriting the same useless entries. Can anyone please explain this? Thanks

There aren't a lot of reg cleaners that play nice with Vista... a lot of people recommend not using them. Mind you, it has been a while, so maybe that's changed by now.

Thanks for the feedback. I think its pretty risky with registry cleaners. RegSeeker was an exception.... I really felt safe and satisfied with this program... and it was free. Can you offer any recommendations for really safe and effective cleaner for Vista OS? Can you qualify reg mechanic as safe and effective based on experience? Thanks again for your input.
