I was wondering what do all the different power options (Home/Office, Portable/Laptop, Presentation, Always On, Minimal Power Management, and Max Bettery) and how do these effect proformance?

Performance, none.

Power savings... HUGE variation.

Monitor on or off. Hard drive on or off. Basically it tells the machine to go to sleep. And wake up when you wiggle your mouse. The times listed are how long before your machine will sleep.

I personally leave everything on EXCEPT the monitor (10 minutes & it takes a nap).

Hope this helped!
