Is there a way to install programs only once, but run them on both OS? Having to install everything twice would really fill up my HD quick.. Also my W7 partition is only 20GB, so how am I supposed to install anything on it at all?
Does having 2 OS installed make anything slower at all in either OS?
Also a slightly unrelated question. For FSX, which OS would be best? XP, Vista or W7?

You cant install them once and run on both.
But you can install them twice in the same location.
For example you can put a program in any location that you want in XP.
Then shutdown and reboot to W7. Then take the same program and install it to the same place.
All of the correct registry entries will be made on both systems and since 99% of the files are the same you wont have duplicates, saving a lot of space.
It may not work with all programs but I have done it without problems before.
As for FSX I have heard that it runs well under W7 but I havent tried it.
The only problem that I see is that the W7 beta is supposed to expire around Aug. or Sept. if I remember correctly and you will most likely have to do a full reinstall of it at that point.
