I'm really fed up being being bombarded with sidebar adverts from Google on every page I open

would you rather pay to view websites?

websites must make revenue in some manner.

if you want to ignore this fact then search google for an adblocker, just remember that the reason ads keep on getting more annoying is because people keep finding ways of blocking them.
