Hi all,

I have a computer where Windows Update has decided to create temporary directories in the root directory of my data drive. I need a way to change this location. Does anyone know a way to do this? I've been searching around extensively, but although I find a lot of threads asking this question, I have yet to find an answer.

I'd like Windows Update to just use the normal location at c:\Windows\<some directory>

The computer is running Windows XP Home(SP2 I think).

I'm looking for a registry hack or third party utility or really any way of changing this location permanently. Thanks in advance for your help!
