Hi

I am looking to help a friend build a very basic PC, the one he has now is giving up the ghost

The PC will simply be used to download music, browse the net, do office stuff and watch films while attached through TV Out on the TV.

We already have a HDD and an AGP graphics card.

I will be needing a processor, memory and motherboard basically. I was thinking of pairing the following and I was wondering what you guys think

AMD AM2 Sempron 3400 Manila Core

Asrock AM2NF3-VSTA

1Gb (2X512Mb) Corsair Value Select, DDR2 PC4200

Along with

Akasa Zen Case - Black Silent Cool

and Samsung SH-S182DB/BEBN 18x DVD±R

It depends... are you thinking of upgrading in the future? Or running heavier software in a few years? Then you should rethink the motherboard for future-compatibility. If not, well, I couldn't make it cheaper...
