Every 20 seconds or so I get the message 'RUNDLL Error loading C:\WINDOWS\pdqasgal.dll Access is denied' and I have to press RETURN or the Cross in the message. I have run Registry Mechanic and cleared any errors, but this makes no difference. I say this happens EVERY 20 seconds and it's driving me mad!! Any ideas?? Please don't suggest I buy another cleaner.

after a quick googleing I could find no file by that name.
Please check the spelling and or run your anti virus, you may have a problem.

Thats weird.
When I google it I find genome sequencing.

Try running task manager and see if any entries are there that you dont think should be.

Get a copy of malwarebytes and run that and see if it finds anything.

Also if you can get a copy of hijackthis and run it and post the report it creates.
That will tell us everything that is running and maybe we can see whats going on.

I have got in touch with BULLGUARD who provide my antivirus software and they are emailing me through a solution. It seems to be working. They use a program called KILLBOX and when used in SAFE mode gets rid of the pdqasgal.dll program.

Just to let you know; it seems to be working OK. I haven't had the dreaded message since I deleted the file. Phew!!!

Thanks for all your ideas and the time and effort to write them, anyway
