A friend got a triple hit of conflicker/malware doctor/ fake avast!

Wiping the hard drive was the final solution.

Now in trying to reload win xp pro onto his 500 gig scsi sata drive I'm getting a

install error that says there's some kind of problem with the hard drive!

Is there some special scsi driver need to reload XP Pro sp3 onto this drive?

the drive has been reformatted to NTFS.

And it is in a dell vostros 420 machine.

thanks chris

Do you have all the original Dell disks? The original Dell build of XP should include the drivers.
