More Information

Hey,

My new router arrives tomorrow but I won't be able to connect to it from my house. I can't get a land line in my house so I'm gonna share my parent's connection, they live 100m away. I'd like information about how to go about doing this. The area I live in is sparsely populated so there won't be much interference. I thought about buying one of these:

And hooking it up to the router, I think I'll need the 3m cable so I could get the thing out of the window and on to the side of the house. Would a cable of this length cause much loss?

A couple more questions, on the receiving end, which WiFi card should i use and which antenna should i buy? I have the parts to make a cantenna so I was gonna do that.

I'd like as much advise as possible please.

Thanks!
