New psu, computer will not stay powered on

Hello all, i dont have a huge background in computers, but i'm learning a whole lot really fast with this computer...

I just replaced my faulty power supply with a logysis acryllic 550w power supply. If i just have the 20 pin mobo connector attached, computer will power up and stay powered up. Altho none of the accessories work: monitor, keyboard or mouse. However, when i plug in the 4pin atx plug, the computer will only stay powered up for about 10-15 seconds before shutting down. I unplugged all my usb components and monitor and it still shuts off. I tested the 4pin atx plug for power and have 12.05vdc at each.

Here is the specs of the computer.
Factory built hp maybe 4 years old.
Amd phenom x4
9650 quad core processor
7g system memory
640g harddrive
Nvidia geforce 6150 se graphic card

Could Be That One Of The Components Tries To Get More Power, And Due To Some Sort Of Failure, Shuts Down, But I Agree With Z1NONLY, Why Did You Replace Is What We Really Need To Know First

I Guess The PSU Could Have Just Died Of Old Age It Was 4 Years Old.

Sorry for the delayed reply. The power suply just stopped working. But i figured out. Had abad stick of ram. Thaks for the help!
